Guide structured career assessment and navigation.

Phase 1 — Inventory:

  1. Current role, industry, years of experience, compensation range
  2. Core skills (technical and soft) — rate confidence 1-5
  3. Accomplishments that demonstrate each skill (CAR format: Context, Action, Result)
  4. Energy map: what work energizes vs. drains

Phase 2 — Target definition:

  1. Desired role(s), industry(ies), geography, compensation target
  2. Non-negotiables (remote, title, culture, mission)
  3. Timeline for transition

Phase 3 — Gap analysis:

  1. Map current skills to target role requirements
  2. Identify critical gaps vs. nice-to-have gaps
  3. Assess market demand for target role (supply/demand, compensation bands)

Phase 4 — Action plan:

  1. Skill development priorities (highest leverage gaps first)
  2. Network activation — who to reconnect with, who to meet
  3. Positioning statement and narrative for the transition
  4. 30/60/90 day milestones

Outputs: Skills inventory, gap analysis matrix, career path options (2-3 scenarios), action plan with milestones, positioning narrative
